Lucky me!

Every month My Mind's Eye has a sketch contest. Those of you that know me, know that I love their products. I hoard them. Their papers are right up my alley! So, this last month I pulled out some of my newer MME papers from their So Sophie line and an XL Clear Scraps Scallop shape and went to town using their August sketch. Well, guess what?! I won! Woohoo!

This first picture I took with a white background behind the layout because it shows off the Tattered Angels glimmer mist that I sprayed on the back.

I took this photo with a dark background because it shows off the Zig painty pen work around the edge of the acrylic.

and then some close ups...

The blue flowers were cut out of felt (both the flower die and the felt are from Papertrey Ink) and then I sewed little seed beads to the centers of them. The bingo card is an embellishment from MME and I applied the buttons and the heart and then used B-4 in my title to incorporate the bingo theme.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll make sure to share my future projects that I make with my goodies that I'll soon be getting from MME!

Clear Scraps Blog Hop

This past year, we had an awesome opportunity to team up with Unity Stamps and we'd love to show you some of the projects we were able to create pairing a crisp, clean rubber stamp image and the acrylic and chipboard products from Clear Scraps.

Start at the Clear Scraps blog and follow the list of designers blogs.  Comment on everyone's blog and then come back to the Clear Scraps blog and let us know that you did.  Everyone who completes this blog hop will be entered for a really nice prize package from Clear Scraps.

I chose to trim down a 12x12 sheet of Clear Scraps to make a 4.25x5.5 card.  I was sent the stamp set titled "Shine On", it  has the cutest lamp stamps. There are a total of 5 different lamp and three sentiment stamps. I am featuring three of the lamps and the You Light My Life sentiment.

Using white Stazon ink I stamped the lamps and the sentiment, then backed the lamp shades with some patterned paper.

If you arrived here on my blog just by chance then you'll want to head over to the Clear Scraps blog to get started on the blog hop. If you have been following along the list of participants from the Clear Scraps blog I am your last stop before heading back to the Clear Scraps blog. Make sure to leave comments the whole way through to have a chance to win! When you are done here head back to

The last remnants...

of my August kit from A Million Memories were used to make this little framed piece and cards.

First up, is this little piece that I made for my daughter's room it will match perfectly! I started with a bare wood frame and painted it pink first, then cream and then distressed it, I really love the way that it turned out. (click on the photo to see it larger).

Then I was able to make four cards. They'll be posted in my ETSY shop in a little bit.

Thanks for stopping by today, I'll be back tomorrow or the next day with the very last of my assignments from my term with Bo Bunny.

A card and two layouts...

This was my most recent project for Bo Bunny, they asked to keep covering the blog until the new design team was established. I was a little beyond happy to help! :)

A card made with Block Party...

Next, the beginning of my work with the August kit from A Million Memories...
this one was based on the monthly AMM sketch, by Zoe Nemburt this time.

My second layout...had some fun with misting on this one.

Will be working on another Bo Bunny layout tonight and then finishing the AMM kit, promise you'll see them both soon.

Versatility!

What am I talking about? This Clear n' Chip Believe Set from Clear Scraps...
The front sheet is chipboard and the back sheet is acrylic. For this next layout I had some extra pieces of the above remaining. So, for this very non-holiday project I used the chipboard star and the acrylic 'believe'. The star I simply covered with patterned paper and sanded the edges. The acrylic 'believe' I outline with a black Zig paint pen and topped the i with a large yellow crystal.

I'll be back in a few with my projects from the August kit at A Million Memories. I LOVE the papers in this one...new Echo Park and Basic Grey...YUM!

17 years....and counting!

Yes, it was 17 years ago yesterday (we now share our day with Chelsea Clinton...) that we were married. It honestly seems like just a few years ago. Hard to believe all that we have been through together.  It's been 23 years since we started dating. 4 children. 2 dogs. 3 houses...

I did this layout yesterday to honor our day and today we are dropping the kiddos off at my mom's and heading into Bend to spend the day together.

Off to enjoy some time with my hubs...be back soon!
