An assignment and 2 just for fun!!!

This mini is what you call "killing three birds with one stone" for me. Three assignments completed with one project. I truly love that when I able to pull something like that off. Creative time is at a bare minimum around here. So, this sweet little thing was made with the scalloped tag chipboard album from Clear Scraps. It is the same album, although the other one was acrylic, that I used for the Apple Picking album I made last October. On this I used the Baby Circus line of patterned papers from Scribble Scrabble, they really are so cute. Love the little splash of red in them. I've temporarily inserted photos of my third son, but this album is intended for a shower gift for my son's teacher. Hopefully she doesn't read this blog and if you do Amanda...act really surprised! ;)

There are way too many photos to post them all, if you want to see the rest of the album check out this post that I made on the Clear Scraps blog.

These next two layouts were just for me. It's been a while since I have done anything that wasn't related to a design team requirement and it felt so good to use WHATEVER I wanted. Most of these products did come Studio Calico's December kit that I hadn't even touched yet. ENJOY!

Some of this and some of that!

Sorry for the delay in the ol' blog. We took a lovely family vacation to sunny and warm Arizona. Since we have been home I have been bogged with too much stuff to do! First on my list of "to do's" was to work with the March kit from A Million Memories...it's colors were right up my alley! So many of you say that purple is such a hard color for you to work with...me...not a hater but, a lover of purple. Needless to say, I enjoyed this kit!!!

I sprayed the cover of this mini with two colors of Glimmer Mist and used the square piece of lace in the kit as a mask for the mist. Love how it let some of the raw chipboard show. This book will be filled with notes to each of my four children. There is a kraft envelope and a chipboard page for each of the kids. I used more Glimmer mist on the envelopes as well as some Basic Grey Stamps that I have in my own stash and topped it off with some dots of Liquid Pearls.

Next on the agenda. I have two dear friends that are teaching classes. The first is Jennifer Findlay who is teaching a mini album class and the whole thing is made from fabric it is too cute! The best is that you really don't have to sew to make one! You can check it out here... JUST US

The second is Karen Grunberg, who is teaching a class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. Karen is known for her superb photos and mostly her amazingly touching and deep journaling. Wish I could put words to paper like she does. You can find this class here... TELLING STORIES DEEPLY

If I had any free time I would take both of these classes in a heart beat!!!!!! Unfortunately I am way over booked right now as far as my crafty to do list is concerned!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
