Sparkle & Shine Challenge #10

Happy Wednesday all! It's the 15th of the month which means that it is time for another sketch challenge over on the Sparkle & Shine challenge blog. This time we are working off of this sketch...

This challenge is being sponsored by the awesome Winnie & Walter stamp company. One randomly drawn challenger participator will receive the following...

Here's the card that I made based on the above sketch...

I started by masking off a piece of watercolor paper, both around the edges and the white circle shape. Next I sprinkled some Brusho crystal colors onto my paper and then sprayed it with a lot of water. I pretty much let it mix and dry on it's own. Loved how vibrant it turned out.

Next I grabbed some glitter tapes that I had and used those for the background stripes. I then used some small 4mm marigold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh around the edge of the circle. The peony stamps are from The Ton.

Sparkle & Shine Challenge #8

Hey all! It's the first of the month...happy July....this means that it is time for another challenge over on the Sparkle & Shine challenge blog. This time around we are being inspired by this lovely photo...

This time around the challenge is being hosted by Pretty Pink Posh and if you join in on the challenge you could be the lucky winner of a $25 gift certificate to PPP. They have a ton of beautiful sequins and some really great and versatile dies.

Here's is the card that I made using the above photo as my inspiration.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and made the red, white, and blue lines. Then I used some stamps from a company that is new to me. The jewel hearts are from the Heart Diamonds set from The Ton and the sentiments are from a set called I Got You also from The Ton.

I heat embossed the diamond hearts with white embossing powder and then painted them in with watercolors. Then added some extra little sparkly sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Hope you decide to play along with us over on Sparkle & Shine. Click HERE to be taken to the blog and link up your project!
