It has been exciting to pour over the wonderfully creative art submitted by so many talented entrants.  It has beem so difficult make decisions that exclude talented people.  Thank you to everyone for your heartfelt submissions. We understand and appreciate the effort that goes into your artwork.
Our new Design Team Members will gather in Phoenix, AZ the first week of April for a Design Team retreat, and their first assignments will be due on April 30.  We look forward to meeting our newest members and welcoming our returning members!
Congratulations!

WOW!!!!!!! I am so super excited about this! I really wasn't sure I had much of a chance as they have been a company really geared towards card making. Hee, let me be the first to tell you....their dies do wonders to a scrapbook page!

We are allowed to share with you our submissions from the first two rounds, however our projects from the final round have to stay under wraps.

Here is the layout that I submitted for round 1:

Everything on this page was cut using dies, except for the large green square. The banner was made using bits of different shapes.

The second round we were asked to submit a card. I absolutely was in LOVE with how this turned out!

Our final round we had to create both a layout and a card that complimented each other. Hopefully someday I'll get to let you see it, but for now it is the property of Spellbinder's...maybe you'll see them in some promo or add stuff! :)

In it's entirety.

Thought I would jump on here real quick and show you all the full layout from my guest blogger day over on the Making Memories blog. I showed you a peek on my last post and here is the whole thing plus a few more close ups.

All products were from Making Memories. The papers and embellies are from their Je t'adore line. I cut the title and the hearts using my Slice. I then used the hearts as a mask and sprayed around them with Mr. Huey's Opaque white.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with some fun scrappy stuff!

Make...times two!

As in Making Memories and Make It Monday!

First, I had the opportunity to be a guest blogger over on the Making Memories blog today...check it out
HERE and here is a little sneak of what you'll be seeing.

Next, Papertrey Ink has started a new thing called Make it Mondays...they give a new prompt via a short video and then the participants have a week to use that prompt use it the way they choose on their project.
This weeks prompt was to use a strip of vellum across your project.

Here was my take on it...

The patterned paper here was from My Mind's Eye, the glitter and twine are from Martha Stewart. Stamps, Ink, Linen Vellum, carstock, dies, stamps, button, and envelope are all from Papertrey Ink.
Have a great Wednesday you all!

Love in French....

I created this banner for the Clear Scrap Website. For this project I used the Small Pennant Banner and the Lost & Found line from My Mind's Eye. For details on how to make it check out the blog post on the Clear Scraps blog HERE.

Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day...I am sugared out....I even ran today and still feel like YUCK!

I'm back!

Had a great time at CHA and have been home awhile playing catch up. Things finally settled down a few days ago and I've had some free time to do some scrapping. Thought I would attempt to get caught up on a few Studio Calico kits that haven't been getting any attention.

I decided to tackle the Metropolitan kit from a couple of months ago.

Here is the first layout....

Which then led to this layout using the negative strip of paper that was left from cutting out the stars...

Which then led to these cards using the leftovers...

This last one has a gift card holder on the inside.

Thanks for stopping by, I have a lot more of this kit left and have another layout almost finished and card that I made with it's leftovers. Will be back soon to share.
