A Happy New Year...

to you all. This year has flown by. FAST!  Thanks to those of you that stuck with me through the 25 days of Christmas. I have to say that I was impressed that I stayed with it. Today I am sharing this card with you, I made it for a special friend. Perfect way to start the new year right?

The white grid that I backed with the different patterned papers (from Crate Paper) was cut using my Silhouette.

Here's to a bright and sparkly New Year to you all!!!!!

Day 23...

I'm so proud of me! I still am impressed that I am hanging in there! Today's post is another card that uses Echo Park's Everybody Loves Christmas line and Papertrey Ink Stamps.

Those jewel berries are truly a red and the reds in the card,  for some reason the light reflections in the photo are giving them an orange cast...hmmmm.

Of to get stuff done, my parents came into town last night and I'm hoping that my mom and I can sneak away this evening to see Black Swan. Means I need to go wrap, bake the last of the treats, and do some laundry.

Day 22...

and one of my favorite things that I have made this season. Another wreath made out of book print. I made another one that I posted earlier you can see it HERE. This one has a much different look just by changing the centers.

The center of this one was made using all Papertrey Ink stamps.

Are you ready for Christmas?????? I still have quite a bit of wrapping, but other than that I am getting there. Tomorrow I'll return with day 23!

Day 21...

Which means that there is only 4 more days until Christmas. EEK! I still have to wrap presents! Better get this post up so that I can be productive around here. Used Crate Paper's Snow Day collection for this.
Made with some left over strips from another card that I made and will share with you soon.

Off to get a lot of stuff done (hopefully), see you for day 22.

Wow, only six more days to go and I am impressed that I am still hanging in there! Today I have a more simple, but elegant card to share with you. White and green are the only colors that I used and I have to say I love how it turned out. The inside of the card is stamped with the sentiment "and happiness...not only at Christmas, but every day of the New Year."

See you all tomorrow!

Day 18 and a Clear Scraps blog hop...

Okay all, bear with me on this post. You see this evening my dh and I went to the Portland Trailblazer game and when got home the power was out throughout our entire neighborhood. Bad news for someone who's photos are on her camera and who now has no computer or Internet access AND has to have a blog post up by 2am so as to not ruin the flow of the above mentioned blog hop.

So, here I am posting from my phone, which I have never done before. I don't have all of the details for the hop memorized, and I have a crappy photo taken with my phone using the light of two camping lanterns. Please bear with me.

Here are the details that I do remember (I think)...you must leave a comment on all of the Clear Scraps design team members personal blogs to be entered to win you choice of $20-$25 of Clear Scraps merchandise. You'll have to refer back to Clear Scraps blog to find out who's blog is listed next, as all ifthat info. as I type this can only be found in the email that is on my computer...which doesn't help me or you one iota in my current condition.

Well we are going to have to forget the cruddy photo as the photo upload page isn't loading. Hopefully power will come back on and I can re-post this

****OK! Woot I have power back! Thanks for those of you that stuck with the hop through my minor disaster. After 12.5 hours we finally have power (and heat!!!) so, here is my tag who's photo was stuck on my camera...

Using StazOn opaque white ink I stamped the woodgrain. Then using some wide 2" Scor-tape (after adhering it to some paper) I punched out the snowflakes with a Martha Stewart punch, peeled off the protective coating that comes on the Scor-Tape and covered the flakes with glitter. Next, I applied the stripey scallop edge sticker and the polka dot paper (both from Bo Bunny), stamped my sentiment with black Staz On, and lastly applied another thin strip of Scor-Tape and some gold glitter. Finished it off by adhering the snowflakes, jewels and dyed seam binding.

After leaving a comment here you now need to go to Cathy's blog. Click on her name to go directly to it!

Thank you all for being so patient and check back tomorrow to follow my last week of the 25 days of Christmas!

Day 17...

This was such a quick little tag to make. Started with a Clear Scraps Angel tag, the largest of the two sizes in the package. Then I embossed it with an embossing folder in my Cuttlebug. Colored that back of the ornaments with some Copic Markers, stamped the sentiment on the front with StazOn ink, added the little jewels and dyed seam binding and done! Super easy!

This next picture isn't the best photo, but I though it showed off the embossing.

Come back tomorrow for the chance to win some Clear Scraps. We are having a holiday blog hop!

Day 16...

Well, the day is almost over here. I am managing to slide this post in real quick though. Gonna make it quick so I can head my kiddos towards their beds.

Patterned paper and the star jewel are from Bo Bunny. The tree and red label were cut using Papertrey Ink dies and the white embossed Noel stamp is from them as well. I embossed the tree using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Lastly a ribbon and a button for some extra detail.

Day 14 & 15...

Sorry fir the delay with yesterday's post, the weather here was so dark and gloomy. It didn't make for decent photo taking, so I had to wait for the little bit of sun that we had this morning. The bonus is two posts rolled into one!

Christmas cards for you today....both using the Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas line. It's so bright and cheery. I only had the two sheets of it and ended buying the whole pack yesterday as I just couldn't resist!

I added some cute stamped ornaments from the Vintage Ornament set by Papertrey Ink on this one, of course those ornaments needed some glitter!

The backside of this blue snowflake paper is covered with those cute little snowmen in varying colors, cut one out to plop onto my heart.

See you tomorrow!

Day 13...

I chose to go with some non-traditional colors for this tag. Pink, green, turquoise and orange....I think they make some great Christmas colors! Here's my quick little tag.

I got another layout done using December kit from A Million Memories. This was such a pretty kit...full of Crate Paper's Restoration and some new Echo Park.

Be back for day 14 tomorrow!

Day 12...

How about a layout today?! This one was made from the latest and greatest kit...the A Million Memories December kit. Loved that you could choose to make Christmas themed stuff or not by using the other sides of the papers. These were photos from last year...do you like my little Zhu Zhu pet peeking out of the package? The title was cut using my Silhouette (I honestly can't say enough good things about this die cut machine...LOVE) and the packages and the little rodent were just paper pieced by me.

Here's another layout made using the same kit, although I am straying a bit as it isn't Xmassy.

Meet you back here tomorrow! ;)

Day 11...

It's a tag today for you all. This one was made with thoughts of snowflakes. Unfortunately, all we are having here in my neck of the woods is dark grey rain. So dreary and so wet. I always am dreaming of a white Christmas, although it is rare that this wish comes true.

I started with a basic manila tag. I had used some turquoise Glimmer Mist on another project and had some left over puddles sitting on my craft sheet, that is when I grabbed that tag and dragged it through the puddles. Let it dry that I used Versamark ink to stamp the snowflakes, I love the subtle tone on tone that you get with this ink. Next I stamped the fancy flourish with some dark brown ink. Used a clear acrylic tile and adhered the cute little snowman image onto it using Glossy Accents. Applied some chunky red glitter to the outer edges of the tile piece. Then swiped the edges of the tag with some white paint. Added the little stamped image and some jewels. Lastly I painted a chipboard snowflake white then covered it with some irridescent glitter. Topped the tag off with a button and some vintage seam binding ribbon.

Got my tree done last night, now it is time for my mantle. Be back tomorrow!

Day 10...

Whew, that means only 14 more to go!

Today I have a little rustic feeling card. This was made using Papertrey Ink's Tiny Treats holiday set. Used dark chocolate ink and rustic cream card stock. Thanks for taking a peek. Off to get some lights on my tree today...and maybe an ornament or two if it's a productive day! ;)

Day nine...

Oops, I missed day eight. I got too caught up in trying to get my house decorated that I forgot. So, here I am today. This is the last you'll be seeing of Cosmo Cricket Mitten weather. Used a paper mache rustic star for this. Added some stamps from Papertrey Ink and Technique Tuesday for the banner.

Back tomorrow for day 10!

Day Seven...

Today it's all about the notepads. These little guys make the perfect stocking stuffers. Inside is a pad of lines paper and a pocket to hold things like coupons or pics. Once again used Mitten Weather from Cosmo Cricket for this.

See you tomorrow for day 8!

Day Six...

Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite things that I made for the Bazar. A wreath that  I assembled out of book pages. I cut the large scallop circle out with my Silhouette ( I LOVE that machine!), then used a Tattered Angels snowflake screen as a mask for my glimmery gold mist. The bits of patterned paper are from an older Basic Grey Christmas line called Wassail. I also used Mr. Huey Lunchbox mist on the Melissa Francis crepe paper around the middle of the centerpiece.

This one was donated to the wreath auction at my kids' school and I am pretty sure it was the principal that ended up with the winning bid.

I have another one of these to share with you, same idea but a different look on another dat. :)

Be back tomorrow!

Day Five....

Late post today...been recovering from the craft Bazaar yesterday, did some Christmas shopping and am back making more things for another little bazaar tomorrow night. I'll keep it short and sweet again. A card made using more Mitten Weather from Cosmo Cricket and some Clear Scraps decorative frames. I used the same technique on here for the snowflake that I have used in the past for many of the starts that you have seen on layout, only I added another arm.

Stamped on the back of the Clear Scraps frame with StazOn white ink and then painted on top with red paint.

See you tomorrow!

Day four...

I'm a little late today. I've been at an artisan bazaar. Fortunately it was worth the time and energy I put into it. You just never know with those things. So, without further delay...I'd like to spend some time with my family.

Today is a set of gift tags made out of Clear Scraps ATC cards. I ran these little cuties through some embossing folders in my Cuttlebug. That is one of the many great things about Clear Scraps acrylic, it is embossable.

Papers are from My Mind's Eye and the stamps and dies for the stocking and tags are from Papertrey Ink.

See you tomorrow!

I'm so proud of me...day three

How about another card using the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather line? I'm lovin' the red and purple together.

Bought the wide red ribbon with the glittery polka dots at Michaels.
Just a quickie for today. Kids are all out of school and we are off to get our Christmas tree.
See you tomorrow!

Woohooo....Day two!

I think I am already breaking a record here, two blogging days in a row! Up today for day two of the 25 days of Christmas is a set of cards.

I used ALL Papertrey Ink for these, with the exception of the Martha Stewart border punch along the top. The snowflakes came from the Holiday Friendship Jar stamp set and the sentiment is from Big & Bold Holiday. I opted to go with non-tradtional holiday colors for these 6 identical cards, each differing only in their color. Topped off the snowflakes with some jewels from my stash.

There's today's project in a nutshell. See you back here at the old blog tomorrow!
