Collage Press February assignment
I know I say this EVERY month, but I really mean it. I am lucky. Period. Lucky to be a part of this company. I absolutely love working with their product. It just seems to flow so easily for me. This layout has a mixture of Knave of Hearts and Joyride product. Adore how well they worked to together. I misted the text paper with some glimmery green Tattered Angels mist. I also took the large scalloped graph circle paper and cut it not quite into half and then laced them together with some silk ribbon that had also been misted with some brown mist to give it that aged look. Topped it all off with a picture of my hunky hubs! :)

Welcome blog hoppers!
I am super excited to be participating in the Papertrey Ink blog hop! I've been wanting to do this for months but my schedule just hasn't allowed for it. This last week my schedule hasn't been too hectic so I was able to create specifically for this event.
The challenge that was issued to us this month was to peruse the galleries of the PTI design team members and find something that inspired us and then create something on our own based. That was a pretty easy task since they are an extremely talented and very inspiring group of ladies!
The first place I found some inspiration was in Betsy Veldman's gallery. She really know how to do vintage shabby chic proud! Here was her card or I should say gift set that I wowed by. Those tissue flowers were something I couldn't wait to try to recreate.
and here is the card that I made using my version of the tissue flower.
My tissue paper started out as white and I misted it with Mulberry Red Maya Road Mist.
My second piece was inspired by Niki Estes.
I loved the design of this card and used it basically as a sketch for my card, just switched things from right to left.
I'm looking so forward to seeing what everyone else has created for tonight. I have so enjoyed doing this and hope to participate again next month!

It continues....
Yes, my love affair with My Mind's Eye continues. In particular their Ooh La La for Her line. Here are two more layouts. This first one is made on a Clear Scraps large die cut page.
I used Papertrey Ink stamps for the decorative strip of white cardstock in the middle. Colored the images in with Copic markers and then highlighted the flower centers with buttons and added some glitter with a Spica pen.
I have to give credit to the creativity of Christine Middlecamp for the cool folded circle border!

This next page is one I did just for fun...I just couldn't part with the remanants of paper that were still sitting on my desk!
yes, I fussy cut that border out...took a long time, but it was worth it in the end!
I have one more, maybe two cards to share using these papers. One of them is for a blog hop I am participating in on Thursday the 25th...so come back and take a peek!

CPS sketch card
You'll notice my current obsession is this paper from My Mind's Eye. Love the bright colors...they're perfect! :) I used them on the mini in my previous post and for this card and for a Clear Scraps layout that is currently in the works and is turning out to be one of my all time favs.
This card is based on the current sketch at Card Positioning Systems...sketch #154. So, I'll just get down to business....here is the sketch...

I'm loving these new tissue paper flowers. This one started out as white tissue which I misted with a glimmery turquoise mist!

My Heart Flutters
...and it's all because of these 5 special people featured in this adorable new Clear Scraps album. This is the new Brag Bag Butterfly album. A very new cute concept from Clear Scraps. All of these albums are made to resemble a purse/bag/briefcase when they are folded up. You can check out all of the various shapes HERE.
Don't those handles look cool?! I wrapped them with DMC floss, love the way that they look! Used all My Mind's Eye Paper here. Don't forget, Clear Scraps is having a design team call. I couldn't recommend working for this company enough! They are extremely generous and wonderful to work for! I truly believe in their product. Would love to see some of my scrapping buddies try out for it! If you are interested check out a couple of posts below and you'll see all of the info.!

More love to share...
I have a few more cards to share with you. I know, a shock, post number two in less than 24 hours.
I won't have time to set this post up tomorrow, it's my baby's 4th birthday... a bittersweet thing. Anyway, I'll be busy wrapping, baking, and celebrating. :)

First up is another card in celebration of Papertrey Ink's 3rd anniversary. This was for a color challenge. I chose to use Niki Estes color combonation, here it is...
and here is my card based on those colors........This next card is one of my design team assignments for the Bo Bunny blog. We had to use the number 14 on a project in honor of the 14th day of February. I chose to use the Love Bandit collection for this one. Bet you can't guess who the intended recipient of this card will be. ;)
I know it's difficult to see, just double click on it and you can see it mega sized!
Can you feel the love???
It's almost Valentine's Day...can't wait...love to share it with my family. This year we will be together in a little cabin, so they are stuck with me! :)
I have two love projects to share with you today. The first one is a layout I did in January for Collage Press. Haven't been able to share it with you 'cuz it can't go public until it is live on the Collage Press blog. It went up yesterday, so I am here today to share. Actually the timing worked out perfect with the day for LOVE right on the horizon.

This card is my take on the Card Positioning Sketch for this week. I am playing along with the Papertrey Ink 3rd Anniversary celebration and this was the challenge from the other day.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Two Cards
What I have for you tonight is just two cards. The first uses a technique that is called resist embossing. You heat emboss a stamped image and then apply ink over that same image. The image that was heat embossed resists the ink. I used a clear embossing ink and powder to stamp my heart image. Then used a tissue to rub some Distress ink over that image. I used 6 different colors of ink, thus the rainbow of color effect. I think it looks really cool. Fun to do too!
Can you see above where I sprinkled the inked areas with water?!
This next card actually goes with the post below. Just a simple card made with some leftovers from the February kit at A Million Memories. I had one of the banner pieces left and when I was cleaning up the remnants of the kit I thought that piece would look cute upside down as a bday hat.
THanks for looking. Hope you all have a great weekend.
