Warm Winter Wishes...

This little guy has been in my head for a long time...just needed some free time to make him! He's a project for my Clear Scraps design team. See that star...it's a clear peice of acrylic, or was. I sanded the backside of one of their smaller star shapes, then stamped the snowflakes on it with Versamark ink and then heat embossed those with clear embossing powder. The box is just one that I have had laying around. His body is two (three was esthetically out of proportion) of those styrofoam balls from the craft shop. I covered those guys with Modge Podge and then glitter and then spot sprayed with some brown glimmer mist to give the grungy look. Enjoy looking at him, I took lots of pics...

I also have a sneak peek for you from A Million Memories...I just got my kit yesterday...it has some super cute stuff in it...I'll be working on it for the next couple of days. Check back on the first when I can show you what all I did with it! Here's the sneak...

Also, Wendela has a new challenge using a very pretty vintage print...give it a try! I hope to get to it myself. Here's the challenge...

Paperie line from Making Memories...

One of the great things about being on the Design Team for A Million Memories (aside from the fabulous monthly kits) is that Michelle works really hard to get manufacturers to sponsor the team...kind of a give a little get a little...they send us product to work with and then we are their "advertisement". I was sent the Poolside collection from the Paperie line.....
A card...

3 layouts...

Another card....
And this was my favorite of the bunch. It was made using a large Clear Scraps shaped acrylic page. Surrounding the large photo is another Clear Scraps acrylic frame piece that I embossed using my Cuttlebug...one of the great things about Clear Scraps acrylic is how flexible this stuff is, it runs right through an embossing maching with NO problems and produces some beautiful results!!! The journaling on this one reads...The prolonged SILENCE of a 2 year old is rarely a good thing...yep, she found my makeup. Fortunately, she found a pretty mild color of lipstick considering I usually wear a pretty dark plum shade and there are some reds in that bag too!

Thanks for taking a peek. My mantle is officially decorated for Christmas. Tomorrow we are off to get the tree...how about you all??? Please just don't tell me that you are all decorated, shopped and wrapped!!!

These are all projects made using the December kit from A Million Memories. It was such an easy one for me to work with. THe colors were fabulous and you could make holiday or non-holiday layouts, I did a little of both!

This first one is a little desktop calendar. In the kit is the Maya Road accordian house book. I chose to take mine apart and only use two of the houses.

And lastly a trifold card...

I just can't believe it is the Christmas season already. Spent some time today decorating the windows and our staircase railing. Tomorrow...the mantle and the top of the buffet in our dining room...

Thank you Webster's Pages

For asking li'l ol' me to be your Guest Designer for November. I adore Webster's pages. Their products have such an elegant vintagey (yep, thinkin' I made up that word) feel to them. The first layout plays double duty for me as I used a Clear Scraps 12x12 acrylic sheet with it and just cut along the flower edge. Their acrylic really is the best, cuts like butter and is embossable, which you'll soon see when I post the rest of this month's CS projects!

An altered box...

A Trifold Card...

Amd my absolute favorite of the bunch!...oops sorry, had to remove the photo for this one. I'll get it back up once the publication comes out!

Thanks for taking a peek!
