Eek! They're black and perfect for Halloween!

Yep, you guessed it! Bats and Spiders! Yeah, not real fond of either of them. However, they are perfect for   Halloween related things. In this case, I used them on some cards using the Clear Scraps Buckle frame shapes.

This first card uses the frame part of the shape. I used some Hambly rub ons applied directly to the acrylic and then outlined the edges with a silver paint pen.

This second card uses the oval center piece from the frame. Lots going on here with this one. First I used a lime green alcohol ink on the back. Then backed it with an almost solid orange patterned paper. Stamped the spider images using StazOn ink on the front and then covered the bodies of the spiders with Rangers Enamel Accents.

Head over to the Clear Scraps blog...we are having a Halloween contest, the winner will win a great package full of yummy Clear Scraps!

Hope you have a Happy Halloween. We are leaving early in the morning for Disneyland, should be a super fun way to spend Halloween. The kids are so excited! So am I!

Wowza!

Took a long time to get back to post the rest of my AMM layouts huh? Well, a week ago Sunday I came down with a little something that knocked me flat on my back for a good 4 days and a so-so 5th day. Ugh. It was all I could do to get the kids to school and then back home to my bed.

All is well now and I am back up at full speed. So, with out further ado here are the rest of the layout and some cards. All were made using the October kit from A Million Memories. I'll start with my absolute favorite of the bunch. My mom and my oldest kiddo. Same photo shoot as the layout in the previous post, but a nice photo...one where they aren't goofing off. :)

This next is of my second son and his buds from his surprise bday party.

and a plethora of cards...

On this last card I used an impression plate on the chipboard leaf and then inked around the edges and on top a bit to make the impression stand out.

Off to bed for me...night!

A Million Memories, Hambly and Clear Scraps...

Yep, all in one post. Here's how they all come together. Hambly was kind enough to sponsor the A Million Memories design team. They are also a product swap partner with Clear Scraps. Which means that I have plenty of Hambly hanging around in my stash. Not such a bad thing right? ;) So, thanks to Hambly for being so generous.

This first layout was made using an XL Clear Scraps shape. I darkened the edges of the Hambly paper with distress ink. Love the way that the white stripes of the woodgrain resisted the brown ink, creating a much more striking effect. These pics. are of my youngest son. He and his siblings were hanging out in the hot tub and he wouldn't quit splashing, too many warnings and a time out ensued. Kind of sucks when you have to sit on the steps and they are all in the water having a great time.

This next one is of my daughter playing around in one of her dress up dresses. This one is done on one of the large lace doily transparencies from Hambly.

Followed up by two cards. The heart and the leaves were cut using my Silhouette.

What are you all up to this weekend? It's just me and the four kiddos for the next week. We have some baseball games if the weather holds. Hoping tonight's gets rained out so that I can go out to dinner with some girlfriends. Is that bad of me????? Have a great one!

My Mind's Eye...swoon

I love, adore and cherish My Mind's Eye products. They are right up my alley and this collection from their Lost & Found line is to die for.  The blue and cream and glitter.....ahhhhhhhhhh. Used a sketch from their last blog challenge for this layout.

Wow, sorry for the wonky picture placement. Blogger has changed the photo upload portion of posting and either I can't figure it out or it is acting strange tonight. I'm sure it is the first rather than the latter. :)

The dark outlined shape behind the photo is a chipboard page out of the Clear Scraps All Mixed Up album. I simply misted it to give the edges that darkish grey blue color and then added the damask paper on top. The glitter sticker letters that spell out 'thank you' are from Sassafrass and everything else is from My Mind's Eye. The banner was part of a 12x12 piece of paper and I cut it out and strung it along as a border.

Hope you are having a wonder beginning to your week. I have some exciting news to share and will be able to do so in a few days once it goes live elsewhere. Something I've not had the privilege to do yet and feel so honored to be asked! Be back soon to fill you all in! Now, I'm going to hit 'publish post' and see just how wacked out my photo alignment is! :)
