Sharing some Collage Press

Me thinks I am the luckiest! Lucky to work with one of my very most favoritest (yes, that is a word ;) ) manufacturers of all time. These two layouts were made using their newest line Joyride. The colors in this line are so "me".  I adore how the colors just perfectly coincide with many of the papers from their "Knave of Hearts" and "Sweet Shoppe" lines.

In this first layout, I am absolutely positive that the striped paper was made just to match my daughter's hat.

This next layout has a photo that just cracks me up! We didn't have a chance last year to go visit Santa before a large snowstorm hit and basically closed our city down. So on Christmas morning we had my step dad pose as Santa. The hat is a toddler size hat (way too tall for a 6'5" man) and we just could not get Santa to smile for the photo. Four of those kiddos are mine, the fifth and youngest is my sweet little niece.

Hope you all had a very merry Christmas. Ring in the new with those you love and I'll be back with a Clear Scraps album real soon!

Bo Bunny Lovin'

Hi Scrappy friends! (and non scrappy if any of you read this!)

I can't believe that there is only 5 days left until Christmas...where did the time go?

Thought I'd take a break from all of the baking that I have been doing and post a few Bo Bunny projects. I have to say that I feel so lucky to be a part of this company, their products make me oh so happy!!!!

First up a vertical banner made with the Tis the Season line and one of the mixed up chipboard albums.
The glittery snowflake behind each letter is made with the new snowflake stamp that is part of the Snowy Serenade line, it is a beauty!

Then a big snowflake made using the St. Nick line.

And the final installment for today, a paper mache star also using the St. Nick line.

Don't you just love that vintage Santa stamp? The snowflake and the star and both big, each are about a foot wide. That snowflake is hanging on a friends (hi Tina!) mantle and I must say it looks great right where she put it!

Hope you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. Enjoy your time with your family and friends.

I'll be back after Christmas with some Collage Press for you!

Ugh! I am SOOOO behind on Christmas shopping it is not even funny! Plus, a sick kid today. Just not helping matters at all.

'TIs the Season

It truly is. Thanksgiving has come and gone which means it's official, the Christmas season is upon us. One of my recent Bo Bunny assignments was to make a handmade ornament. I had previously purchased this large glass ornament in the clearance section at Micheal's. Love the shape of it. It is a big flat circle. Pulled out which Bo Bunny line to use? Well, 'Tis the Season of course! Cut all of those trees out of one piece of paper and fringed some green patterned paper for the grass added the ribbon and button and of course some  Stickles for snowflakes and then filled the ornament with fake snow.  For some reason the silver top of the ornament was bugging me...didn't like the look of it. I decided to cover it with a Bo Bunny flower and bling and then added some more Stickles on the edges of the flower petals.

I have finished up my December kit from A Million Memories. Just need to get it photographed and uploaded. I'll be back in the next day or two to share it with you!

Paper Rose Tutorial

I received a ton of requests on the Bo Bunny blog from people wanting to know how I made the roses on the wreath that was o the BB blog (see my post before this to see the wreath). So, I made a little video on how to make your own. Please be kind and remember that I am no professional! :) There is a part where I escape off of the screen for a little while...oops. So, I am following this video up with some photos of what you misssed.  Here's the video...

and here the photos....

This first one is what your square piece of paper looks like after you have folded it in half diagonally three times.

this second one shows me holding the tip that is folded, you will cut the top of your petal on the end that I am NOT holding.

This third photo is what your triangle should look like after you have cut the top of the flower.

This last photo is of me now holding the rounded end of the flower petal that I just cut off in the previous photo. You now need to cut off the pointed tip. This is what your flower should look like once you have done that.

Hope that helps those of you that were having difficulty visualizing it!

I look forward to seeing all of your projects with these roses!

It's Bunny Time!

I'm over due.....no that is not implying that we have a fifth on the way! ;) Just my little way of saying that it is time to share with you my latest projects for Bo Bunny!

This first project is one of my favorites ever! I will definitely be making other versions of this! This started out as a styrofoam wreath form. Yep, I handcut every leaf and petal on this! Aren't those flowers yummy?! I used a variety of papers from the Gypsy, Kitchen Spice and Delilah lines. I loved how well they went together!

This next is a layout made using a sketch that Rita Shimnioak, one of the other BB designers, made. I used one of the new lines...Love Bandit.

Lastly, a unque way to say thanks. I repurposed a box that we had laying around the house and made it into a "thankful" box. It is filled with little scrolls on which is written all of the many things that I am thankful for about the recipient that this will go to. This one is made with the Gypsy line.

Thank you all for stopping by. I'll leave you with a sneak peek for the December kit from A Million Memories...I love this one!

Such a pretty kit!

These were my projects made with the November kit from A Million Memories. I've been inspired to make cards lately, so there are more than a few of them! I'll start off with the two layouts. This first is one of my new all time favorites.

Been lovin' paper bows lately...here's a big one!

This is a picture frame. When I thought I was done with the kit and cleaning up I found this piece of Prima Specialty paper that I had completely forgotten about. I've had this frame for a while and thought I would put it to use. Didn't have much stuff left from the kit, so I made a cardstock flower and some leaves from some of the other Prima paper I had left and then added some bling swirls out of my own stash and some glitter around the edges of the frame. Super quick and easy!

Here are all of the cards...

Hope you all have a great weekend. Kids don't have school Friday so we are headed over to Central Oregon for some good old R&R!

If I'm dreaming....

Please DO NOT wake me up!  Earlier this evening I wandered over to the Collage Press blog because I remembered that today was the day that they were making their new design team announcement. I hadn't received an email from them and thought I would go check out who the lucky ladies were. I can't even begin to tell you how in shock I was to see my name in the middle of the list. Yep, Tonya Dirk, spelled correctly. Me. Right. There.

I am literally over the moon about this. I feel lucky, honored and blessed.  Those who know me, know that I firmly believe in only trying out for teams that I absolutely love their product. Designing for companies can be a lot of work and very time consuming and if I don't feel passionate about the product it shows in my work, which makes for some tough times. There will be no tough times with this one. I absolutely adore everything that I have ever seen from Collage Press and I just can't wait to get started!
So thank you so much to Collage Press for wanting me and congrats to the other lucky ladies on the list!

Here are a couple of LO's from my submission...

This first one was made on a 12x12 Clear Scraps acrylic sheet....

Boo!!!

I just can't believe that it is only 5 days until Halloween. Wow! We'll have an interesting array of costumes in our house this year...a butterfly, Bobo Fet (from Star Wars), a doctor and a freaky clown thing-a-ma-bob.
Should make for some interesting group photos!

I thought I would share with you some of my latest creations using the Bo Bunny Boo Crew line. First up a wreath that is adorning my front door at this moment.

and a treat can....yeah, I confess those M&M's are long gone.

and a two page layout based on a sketch that Rita Shimaniok, a fellow Bo Bunny design team member did.

I'll leave you a sneak peek for the November kit from A Million Memories....this one is so pretty!

Hope you all have a happy Halloween.
