I'm a tad addicted to cards right now...

One would think after completing the seven sketches in seven days that I would be D-O-N-E, apparently not! I have two to share with you and a third that was a retake photo of a previously posted card.

This first card was made using a 12x12 sheets of Clear Scraps acrylic for the base. I just cut a 10x7 rectangle out  and folded it in half.

This next one is almost identical...just used a cardstock base and created a matching envelope to go with it.

and here is the retake with some natural lighting...

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

The final installment...

day seven. I've really enjoyed doing this and am so proud of myself for actually getting all seven sketches done and posted in time. It's been difficult  as the sketches weren't posted until midnight my time which means by the time I found the time to work on them, after tending to hubs and four kiddos I, I wasn't able to get most of them photographed until late at night. Which is the case again tonight and the lighting is way less than desirable...this card is so much prettier in real life. You'll just have to believe me. The stitching and bigger stones in the corners are a pretty leafy green and the glitter on the butterflies and the little stones in the corner are a very soft pretty lavendar...I know, you'd never guess.

So, today's sketch was this little lovely....

and my rendition of it...

Remember you can always click on a photo to see it larger...pretty sure that won't improve the color though
:(

Thanks to Caardvarks for this challenge and to Heidi Van Laar for all of the sketches! You can check her out here...

Day Six...

And my card...

Isn't that little acrylic lady cute?! The interior is stamped to say...
"Beats 4 You".

Day Five...

Which means that I only have two more days to accomplish my goal! So, here was day five's sketch...

My attempt at the sketch...

Used Bo Bunny St. Nick papers for this and a Papertrey stamp.
See you tomorrow.

Over halfway there...

Day four of seven. You know the routine. Here is the fourth sketch....

And my take on it...

I decided to try something new with those three squares. I took three dofferent edge punches, cut a bunch of strips, inked the edges and then layered them. I love the way that it looks!

I'll be back tomorrow with another sketch and card.

Day Three...

Here is today's Carrdvark Sketchfest sketch...

My card using the sketch...

The patterned papers, ribbon, large bling, the spider stamp and the web stamp are all from Bo Bunny...the Boo Crew line. The Happy Halloween stamp is from Papertrey Ink and the chipboard circle is an oldie from Cosmo Cricket, I painted and glittered it. Not sure if you can see it or not, but the web and the spider have both been heat embossed. Thanks for stopping by and having a look-see! Be back tomorrow!

I've joined a challenge...

Over at the Caardvarks blog. It is a collaboration between Studio Calico and Caardvarks. I really just want to use some of my stash and see if I can actually make a card for each of the sketches. So, if I have success I'll be making a daily post here for the week. Without further ado here is my card for their first sketch.

The sketch...

My take on the sketch...

Sorry, the colors are wee bit off as I ran out of daylight before I was able to get the card photographed and had to use some non-flattering fluorescent light.

Here's the challenge if you'd like to check it out!

A quickie...

little post that is!!! Just a couple of cards for you. Made these for some posts over on the Bo Bunny blog. Today, over on the Bo Bunny blog, I posted a tutorial on how to get a reverse image of a stamp...check it out if you are interested. It's one way to get more mileage out of your stamps! Here's the card that I used for the tutorial. The butterfly facing to the left was original stamp image and the other one is the mirror image...I used the Gypsy line for this.
This next card was made using the St. Nick line for a Christmas in September assignment...don't go thinking I am little Miss Organized that I already have my Christmas cards done! Nope! Not me!
Enjoy the rest of your week. I just finished up an album for Clear Scraps, once I get it photographed I'll share it with you! Chow 'til then! :)

Under Construction

First, please note that there is a new post directly under this. Second, I am in the process of changing the appearance of the old blog...please bear with me as I finish it. Third, yay! I finally figured out why you couldn't click on a photo and enlarge it...that has been fixed now. So, if you want to see any project in a bigger and better photo...just double click on the picture and your wish will be my command. :)

September kit from AMM and my first BoBunny project.

Here are my projects from the September kit over at A Million Memories. There is quite a few new papers from Sassafrass in the kit as well as an entire Melissa France Bingo album and the most adorable LITTLE chipboard houses from Maya Road.

This first is a simple card. The inside reads "to the 'hood". I painted the house and then covered it with Modge Podge to get the shiny look.
This second is a little wall hanging that I made using one of the pages from the Melissa France Bingo book.
This layout is of my middle son and his all time best ever buddy. I love this picture of the two of them.
And lastly for this kit is a layout of my youngest son. OUCH! We got behind on his vaccinations and he had to have 5 at once at his last checkup!
This last layout was an assignment for the Bo Bunny blog. I had to base a project around the quote of my own choosing.
Two of my four kiddos went back to school today. Another one goes sporadically throughout the rest of this week and then next Monday they will all be in school. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh :)
